Two hundred fifty years ago, our nation declared its independence. This weekend, we celebrate not only our country's history, but also the people whose hard work continues to keep America moving.
This Fourth of July will be especially meaningful as America celebrates its 250th Anniversary. It is a time to reflect on the values that have shaped our nation for generations, including hard work, innovation, resilience, and a commitment to serving others.
Those same values are reflected in our industry every day.
Across the country, family-owned energy companies work around the clock to keep homes comfortable, businesses operating, and communities moving forward. Whether responding during severe weather, answering late night emergency calls, or preparing for another heating season, our members answer the call every day. It is a tradition of service that has strengthened communities for generations.
As we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, I want to thank each of you for everything you do. Your commitment to your employees, your customers, and your communities is what makes this industry so special. I am proud to represent an association made up of dedicated professionals who continue to make a difference every day.
As you prepare to celebrate with family and friends this holiday weekend, I hope you have the opportunity to reflect on what makes this country so remarkable and enjoy some well-deserved time together.
