Established in 1941 as the Empire State Petroleum Association (ESPA), the Empire State Energy Association (ESEA) represents energy marketers across New York State. Our members play a vital role in the state’s economy, supporting businesses through the storage and distribution of gasoline, diesel, aviation, heating, and industrial fuels, contributing billions of dollars annually.
The energy industry is essential to New York’s infrastructure and workforce, employing tens of thousands of individuals in wholesale, retail, and support operations. ESEA members provide heating fuel for over a million households and supply transportation fuels for millions of registered vehicles, including cars, trucks, and buses, that keep New York moving.
