Getting to 2050 GHG Reductions, New Fuels, New Equipment, We can Do it!

National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) - John Huber / Exergy Partners - Richard Sweetser

All of the northeastern states including New York have ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gases over the next 30 years. The primary push is to limit and eliminate the use of fossil fuels such as petroleum. How does our industry survive under this pressure? Eliminating petroleum does not mean the elimination of our industry, we can change the liquid fuel we deliver from petroleum based to agriculture based, and the equipment using that fuel will be exponentially more efficient in the coming decades. Rich Sweetser of Exergy Partners, and John Huber of NORA will describe the political hurdles we face in going forward, and what it will take to achieve these goals.

1:45 - 2:30

The K-Factor Compromise: How Well Do K-Factors Predict Individual Deliveries

Angus Energy - David Montgomery

Just because something has been around for a while doesn't mean that it's the best thing. This presentation will look into actual K's, actual weather, actual consumption and will explain why most of you are actually doing very well based upon the technology and methods that you currently employ. We will also look at whether the current methodology is going to serve you well in the future (Spoiler Alert: It won't)!

Driving crashes and fatalities are crises which need to be addressed. Both are at an all-time high in the US! This discussion focuses on the reinforcement of S.A.F.E. driving and specifically how Speed, Attention, Fatigue, and Emotion can be managed effectively so your company drivers can return safely home from work each day to their loved ones. Be prepared to discuss actions that can make a positive difference to your business and your drivers.
